Helicopter emergency medical service in Zilina (HEMS) began operating as a private medical facility on the 1st of January 2006 at 0700, providing 24 hour coverage.
        Our HEMS operation is supported by safe, reliable aircraft that are in accordance with the JAR-OPS 3 (Joint Aviation Requirements) coupled with the most modern medical equipment available and fully trained, qualified staff. Our company also participates in the training, education and development of future EMS personnel.
        The HEMS crew consists of pilot, doctor and paramedic.
        Our company has set the highest standards in the training of our flight and medical crews. This assures maximum safety and the finest quality of helicopter emergency medical services provided to all throughout the region.
        Our crews continually practice and upgrade their skills in rappelling into hostile environments. Together with local emergency rescue personnel (Fire, Police, Mountain Rescue) we regularly conduct training and practice sessions to enable the evacuation of people from high rise buildings and other remote inaccessible locations.
        As our aircraft are equipped with both the "Nightsun" searchlight and cargo hook mechanism, it enables our crews to conduct search and rescue missions around the clock and permits the delivery of medical supplies and equipment in the external cargo pod.
